What is the best part of this race? 100% of the profit will be supporting 8 Drug Free Clubs of America Chapters here in Ross County Ohio.  In fact this drug prevention program with DFCA is the reason The Buck Fifty was founded.

Inaugural Year for our DFCA program in Ross County, Ohio was the 2016-2017 School Year-1,695 members enrolled representing over 45% of all Ross County high school students. 

2017-2018 brought phenomenal growth to our DFCA Program as we grew to 2,204 members who now encompass 65% of all Ross County teens.  Every school in our program has over 50% enrolled making them the MAJORITY, and we are blessed to have two high schools over 80%.  Huntington High School has 87%, and Southeastern Local Schools is at 82%.  You can actually feel the positive attitude of these students when you walk in the their building. 

Three years of experience continues to show a very successful DFCA Program for the Ross County area teens. The 2018-2019 school year shows membership percentage continues to remain at over 50% and we now have an average of 73% of the teens in 8 High Schools enrolled into the club. These 2,000 beautiful souls understand that their future is bright, The Buck Fifty loves them, their community supports them, and runners come to Ohio each April to run this challenging 150 Mile course all on their behalf!!!

This race has changed our teens, runners and the hundreds of folks in the Ross County community who volunteer their time to make it all happen.  By running this race, not only will you have a PHENOMENAL EXPERIENCE, but you will also be making a difference in the lives of our youth.
